Up in the Air

I saw that movie yesterday. For all who havent heard anything about it yet – Geogre Clooney is Ryan Bingham a sort of High-tech Hermit surrounded by lots of people interacting but never involving himself in anything personal having the sole goal to collect 1million Miles on his AA Traveler Card and therewith archive something only 6 people have ever archived before. In the movie he states that more people have set foot on the moon than collecting that many miles and gain the profits of that very exclusive travelers status. So no wonder that reminded me of the 1 Million VPP I tryed to collect to earn SNE Status. I wasnt so aware of the subliminal affect this status thing has on one self untill seeing that movie yesterday and I have to admit it was more the goal of reaching that Status and maybe even be the first woman ever to reach it than the monetary benefits of SNE and I still havent given up on it yet completly.

I have only played something 10k hands this month so far but it did bring back the fun and I am really trying to learn and improve. So far I am playing NL50 6max only and just the other day I was thinking that 1.5 years ago I did play NL50 6max and I did not at all find it that challenging. So either I am totally demoralized from the past 6 weeks in which I have lost the incredible amount of 12k (not tilting them away on nosebleeds no! Its much more challenging to tilt that much money away in Small stakes! So that is where I lost it) or NL50 6 max got thougher. It might be a combination of both plus the fact that 1.5 years ago I thought of myself beeing somewhat invincible – well I got tought better and I have to bring back some self confidence if I want to keep playing poker. I am convinced that a lack of selfconfidence when sitting down at a table is far worse than any Variance, bad luck or tilt may ever be – because if you want to play good poker you’ll essentially need to be convinced that if it boils down to its either you or any other guy at the table you will absolutly be capable to destroy any one sitting there with you. If you sit down (like I did in the past weeks) thinking any different you will be owned sure as hell. And if you are not owned you will not miss any possibility to level yourself.

atm I am really excercising like a first grader taking tons of notes writing down how often Villain 3bets from the blind vs my BTN raise and checking A or K high flops – counting cards: how many King/x or Ace/x combos are possible etc. Here is what PT says is the result of my ambitions

…………….

Dont look so bad considering that 6max is not my favorite game.

Thanks for reading, have a wonderful week all :)
